It’s used not just in instrumental music but also by many male solo singers. The quanoun consists of 50 or more strings and is similar to the santoor. The saz is a kind of a lute with a long neck. It’s used by folk players as well and is available in different sizes the largest being divan sazi and smallest being cura sazi. The wind instruments are nay, a bamboo flute with 7 holes, and kernayta which is a type of western clarinette used in a different setting.

The percussion instruments consist of the tabla, also called dumbek is hour glass shaped, daff which is a kind of oriental tambourine, bendir used more in the Arabic rural folk music styles.

Thw bowed string instruments are the kamanja which is basically a violin and the rababeh which is a one stringed Lebanese folk instrument. The cello and double bass are also being increasingly used.
